Can you hear the clock ticking down to the end of your miserable life?
Stoica, Redemption

Stoica (Japanese Version: Scotia (スコーティア, Sukōtia?)) was the Aquos brawler for the Major Twelve Orders. He used Aquos Lythirus, his Battle Gear is Razoid. He was also the most insane of the group and had a habit for annoying his teammates.

Information[]

Description[]

He has a split personality, one of an angel, the other of the devil. When he's an angel he is fun to be around, but when he is in devil mode, he is frighteningly cruel and no one can stop him. Stoica has lots of trick moves during battle and opponents have a hard time reading him. He has saved Gundalia many times with ingenious battling abilities. He is the youngest member of the Twelve Orders. It is unknown why, but somehow he was able to breathe underwater as shown in episode 14, when he was easily beating Marucho.

Personality[]

It is said that Stoica has a split personality: as an angel, he is fun to be around, but as a devil, he is frighteningly cruel. He is loyal to Barodius, though it is unknown whether that loyalty is more for his own gain or if it is genuine devotion. Either way, he was always suspicious of Gill, and figured out Airzel was lying about Fabia killing Kazarina. He also disliked subordinates like Jesse Glenn, and like Kazarina, had no problem with disposing of them to save his own skin. However, he seemed to get along with Lythirus as the two shared many of the same personatlty traits.

He may tend to go overboard with his enemies, going as sure as using an ability in spite of the fact that he will get Lumagrowl drowned in the process. He also had been smart enough to figure out that Dan and Shun were swapping Bakugan and was able to get Airzel to admit that Gill had killed Kazarina. He thinks highly of himself, as seen when Stoica complained that Gill should send Airzel to Bakugan Interspace instead of him. He is also willing to snitch on his teammates if he gets off free as shown when he tried to get Airzel in trouble with Barodius.

Bakugan: Gundalian Invaders[]

Stoica made his first appearance in Revelation, he and the other Twelve Orders members were talking about Linehalt and Drago's battle inside Bakugan Interspace and also about how Drago is too strong. Airzel berates Stoica, saying that he should take things seriously for once and that not everything is a joke. Stoica does not care and continues to mock Airzel

He reappeared once again in Hostile Takeover talking about getting the element and when Barodius told Ren Krawler to kidnap more battlers from Earth.

In Escape From Darkness He is shown with the other Twelve Orders listing as Airzel tells Barodius that the Earth kids have helped the Gundalian Soldiers a lot. Kazarina then says that they should start to break through the first shield. Barodius says that to get such power they will have to take the Element.

In The Sacred Orb, he, along with the rest of the Twelve Orders, chews out Ren and his team (except Sid) for not convincing the Battle Brawlers to join them instead of the Neathians calling the Agents pathetic. He and Lythirus later battle the Castle knights alongside the other Twelve Orders and Brainwashed Brawlers beating them rather quickly. He then fought Marucho Marukura and Akwimos deep underwater where he admitted he liked Gigarth while Lythrus said he wants to destroy it. He was doing fine until the Sacred Orb transported all Gundalians the away.

As said by Captain Elright in Decoy Unit while introducing the Twelve Orders to the brawlers, Stoica can change his personality from Joker to ruthless savage. His ship, along with Airzel and Kazarina's ships were seen heading for the third and final Neathian shield.

In The Secret Switch, he and Lythirus appeared with Jesse Glenn and Plitheon. They battled Fabia Sheen and Aranaut and later Dan Kuso and Hawktor. Despite his ingenuity, he did not realize that Dan and Shun Kazami switched their Bakugan before the battle. Stoica, seeing that they must win the brawl to prevent the Neathians from raising the second security shield, summons his Battle Gear, Razoid, and equips it to Lythirus, giving the Twelve Orders a temporary but minor comeback into the battle. However, due to the Dan and Fabia's superior brawling skills; the battle results into a loss for him and Jesse thanks to Dan using strong Ventus moves. Stoica and Jesse retreat telling the Brawlers they got lucky today

He appeared in Battle For the Second Shield, where he, Kazarina, and Airzel are forced to retreat to Gundalia when Dan and Shun reactivate the second shield generator to avoid becoming trapped on Neathia. He then mentions how much trouble Kazarina will be in while smiling.

In Curtain Call, he appeared alongside Kazarina trying to decide who else they can blame for their failures in stopping the brawlers. He decide to blame Jesse, but before they can punish him he escapes from his cell. Once Ren brings Jesse back after their loss to Jake and Fabia, Stoica and Kazarina eliminate him and use Lumagrowl and Lythirus to defeat Plitheon after he turns on Jesse. Then on their way to tell Barodius of Jesse's elimination, Nurzak berates them for needless punishment of a fellow operative, Nurzak even claims he can "smell" their treachery.

He, along with Gill, Airzel and Ren overhear Barodius and Nurzak's battle. He then appears at the end of Divide and Conquer to show Barodius that he is still loyal to him.

Stoica disguised

Stoica as a human

In Mobile Assault, He is sent to Neathia along with Gill and Airzel to keep the Battle Brawlers busy while Kazarina upgrades Dharak's Colossus Armour. When Stoica complains about their job, Airzel tells him to be quiet as Kazarina might overhear. On Gills orders, Stoica goes with Ren to Bakugan Interspace changing into a human disguise much to his dislike. Then he says he wants to hunt humans in their natural habitat and heads to Earth where he brings Koji to Gundalia to be hypnotized by Kazarina.

In Sid Returns, He Airzel and Ren are listening to Gill ordering the attack on the second Shield and telling them to rally the Solders.

In Colossus Dharak, Stoica and the rest of the Twelve Orders invade Neathia to destroy the Second Shield. Stoica and Gill attack Marucho and Jake after the two Bralwers beat the Megarus that Stoica sent out.

In Dragonoid Colossus, he faces Marucho in a rematch and beats him after a long fight. He retreats with the rest of Twelve Orders when Linehalt uses his forbidden powers.

He reappeared in True Evolution with Kazarina confronting Nurzak and Fabia as they try to make it into Kazarina's lab.

In Redemption, he teamed up with Kazarina to battle Nurzak and Fabia. With the help of their Battle Gear, they broke a hole in the floor and defeated them, but later rematched them in round 2. This time, Kazarina hypnotized Jesse, Lena, and Zenet to help them, but Stoica used an Ability Card called Death End Merman that flooded the entire arena to attempt to kill Nurzak and Fabia. Kazarina, Lena, Jesse, and Zenet were forced to retreat because of this. Somehow, he talked underwater like he could breathe it.

In Final Strike and Dream Escape, he ambushed Shun and Fabia as they tried to free Dan. He then battled Shun to no result as Shun retreated once Dan and Jake were rescued. He later regrouped with the rest of his team, eager to fight the Battle Brawlers now that they had them all where they wanted them. When the Battle Brawlers tried to return to Neathia on Dragonoid Colossus to stop Barodius and Phantom Dharak, they quickly pulled out their Bakugan to stop them from leaving.

In Gundalian Showdown, Stoica battled the brawlers on Gundalia with Kazarina, Gill, and Airzel and lost due to Blitz Dragonoid's new powers. He alongside Gill and Airzel were supposed to go to Neathia to help Emperor Barodius but only he and Airzel left because Gill's ship was supposedly damaged and although Airzel didn't suspect anything Stoica seemed suspicious about why Gill hadn't gone with them.

In Broken Spell, Stoica and Airzel fight Shun and Dan to prevent them from reaching Barodius and Dharak, saying the only way they'll get to them is through them. When Jesse, Lena and Zenet break free from their brainwashing, he reveals that he overheard Gill talking with Airzel about Kazarina and forces Airzel to admit that the reason that Gill stayed behind was to kill Kazarina himself. When Airzel was confessing this, Stoica turned on the speakerphone so Barodius can overhear it.

In Code Eve, Stoica Barodius and Airzel begin to fight the Brawlers, Castle knights and Ren's team with the help of Gundalian Solders. Sometime later Gill arrives on Neathia and tries to pin Kazarina's murder on Fabia, but Barodius reveals that he knows it was him who killed Kazarina. A shocked Airzel is at first unable to understand how Barodius found out, but he quickly realizes that it was Stoica who told him. Stoica watches Gill and Airzel get killed with no remorse. He helps Emperor Barodius attack Neathia to get the Sacred Orb. He and Lythirus blind Dragonoid Colossus so Phantom Dharak could attack him, but Dharak betrays them and all three of them are killed by Dharak's attack.

Trivia[]

  • Stoica is the only member of the Twelve Orders whose hair doesn't correspond with his attribute.
  • His supposed angel/devil personality may be a reference to Angelo/Diablo Preyas.
  • In Bulgarian, Stoica (Stoika) is a female name.
  • Stoica's human disguise is similar to the outfits worn by members of SOLDIER from the video game, Final Fantasy VII.
  • Stoica was the only Gundalian to have stayed loyal to Emperor Barodius until Phantom Dharak betrayed and killed him with Lythirus.
  • His name alludes to the word stoic meaning self-control. This is ironic as he seems to have no self-control.
  • It is likely that his name is a mistranslation of his Japanese name Scotia, since both names have the same letters but in different order.
  • Stoica likely didn't like Gill very much. As he didn't seem to care at all when he and Airzel were killed. He may also exposed Gill's plan to assassinate Kazarina to Barodius just to get rid of him.
  • Stoica is the only member of the Twelve Orders (excluding the Gundalian Agents) that is seen with a human form or disguise unlike the other main members.
  • Airzel and Stoica are the only members of the Twelve orders who never got their own Intermission Screen.
  • Its unknown if Stoica let Barodius know about Gill killing Kazarina because he felt upset by her death or because he simply wanted to get Gill and Airzel in trouble. The later seems more likely as unlike Barodus he didn't feel any sadness when Airzel told him that Gill took care of Kazarina.

Battles[]

Like the rest of the Twelve Orders, Stoica is a fairly strong brawler, only losing three battles.
