Killer Volca was originally exclusive to the Bakugan Official Battle Field W Super DX Set (BTC-30) and BakuTech Battle Field W Rise 4 Set, which were released on 14 October 2011[2] and 28 July 2012[3] respectively. However, it was finally released individually as Killer Volca Kai on 16 March 2013.[4]
Killer Volca has a feature called 'Down Tail' activated when being attacked which can protect it from Critical attacks.

Etymology[]
The Kanji in the Japanese name of Killer Volca, 鯱 (shachi), means killer whale.
Trivia[]
- The concept art of Killer Volca is originally Flare Dragaon concept art. In the concept art, it has Soles which is not included in the final product.
- Killer Volca was once named 'Sea Animal Type' (海獣タイプ/カイジュウタイプ, Kaijuu Taipu?) tentatively when it is released as Killer Volca Kai.[5]
