Kilan Leoness (輝(キラン)レオネス Kiran Reonesu) is a lion-like Japanese original Bakugan from the BakuTech series. CoroCoro Comic consists in the development of this Bakugan.[1]

Kilan Leoness is equipped with BakuTech Convert System in which the Cross on its tail can be converted. Its low center of gravity and metal features makes all shooting attacks powerless against it. Stickers are used to decorate the convertable parts of Kilan Leoness. It has a pure white main color instead of Grey like other Haos Bakugan.
In Japan, its Haos BakuTech version in BTC-08 and BTC-17 comes with 510G, 520G, or 560G. In BTC-20, its G version comes with 560G. The version from BTC-17 only includes a Metal Cross, while the original release (BTC-08) had a Normal Cross too.

PosesEdit
Besides the standard Stand pose in which Kilan Leoness' four legs are all open, it also has other specific poses. The poses are important in battle that they cannot be altered in Japanese official Bakugan battle.
- Pose of Fang (牙の構え kiba no kamae): The pose in which one of Kilan Leoness' front leg is closed.
- Pose of Claw (爪の構え tsume no kamae): The pose in which one of Kilan Leoness' rear leg is closed.
- Pose of Snowfield (雪原の構え setsugen no kamae): The pose in which each of Kilan Leoness' front and rear legs is closed.

EtymologyEdit
The Han character in the Japanese name of Kilan Leoness, 輝 (kagayaki), means brightness. 'Kilan' is derived from the Japanese for gleam, 煌 (kirameku), and sparkle, 爛々 (ranran).

- Kilan Leoness was once named Liger (ライガー Raigā) tentatively. A liger is the hybrid cross between a lion and a tiger whose parents are a male lion and a tigress respectively.
