One day, Bakugan, along with battle cards, fell down from the sky. They cannot take their full form (as they were in Vestroia) in the human dimension, and takes a ball form that pops out (or [[stand]]s) into a miniature form. However, they can assume their normal form when a Bakugan game is played.

These games start when the players announce "field open", at which moment time stops, and end when someone wins.

Bakugan takes many sizes and shapes, and generally comes in six attributes, [[Pyrus]] (fire), [[Haos]] (light), [[Subterra]] (earth), [[Darkus]] (darkness), [[Ventus]] (wind), and [[Aquos]] (water). Additionally, Naga and Wavern in the anime are referred to as "The White Ones". See [[attribute]].
